Bikecrumbs is designed to help groups of motorbike riders ride together by sharing location data in real time during a ride. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

Information We Collect

• Location Data: During a ride, Bikecrumbs collects and shares your live location with other riders in your group so that you can follow the lead bike.
• Emergency Contact Details: Stored only on your device, and completely optional you can define emergency contact information. That information will be shared ONLY with the Ride leader & TEC so they can call next of kin, or show emergency services details about allergies etc. This is purely for safety reasons and will never be stored centrally or passed to any 3rd party. When you leave a ride it is completely removed from the database.
• No Personal Data: With the exception of the emergency contract details explained above, we do not require or collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or payment details.

How We Use Your Information

• Location data is used only for the duration of a ride to allow group members to see each other’s positions.
• Emergency Contact Details is visible to Ride Leaders and TECs to support the ride and deal with any incidents.

Data Storage and Retention

• Temporary Use Only: Your location data is only stored temporarily while the ride is active and whilst you remain in that ride. When you leave, it is immediately deleted.

Data Sharing

• Your location is shared only with other riders in your active ride group.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your location data during transmission and temporary storage. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or mobile networks is 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

Bikecrumbs is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information and all ride data is deleted at the end of each ride, there is no ongoing data stored about you (besides information stored locally on your device so you don’t have to enter contact details each time)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
